Life at Marguerita Ranch in Arizona is never boring. Most of the animals on the ranch are larger ones, such as horses, pigs, donkeys, and other domestic animals that need a new lease on life.
Things on the ranch are always changing. While some animals are adopted, others arrive. Recently, one of the new arrivals was a donkey named Flower.
Flower was a young, healthy donkey adopted from a government program, but she managed to surprise Macy in the most heartwarming way.
One late evening, Macy was interrupted by loud braying coming from the donkey enclosure. Thinking something was wrong, she quickly rushed to the enclosure, only to be left speechless.
Next to Flower stood a newborn donkey, already on her feet. Macy was shocked by the surprise, but the sight of the newborn donkey instantly warmed her heart.
She named the new ranch member Petal, and the little donkey quickly showed her loving and affectionate nature. Petal loved approaching people and hugging them in her own adorable way.
But Petal’s affection wasn’t just for humans – she also bonded with all the animals on the ranch. Still, one animal stood out as her closest companion, another donkey named Frankie.
Petal and Frankie grew up together and became inseparable. They loved each other so much that they’d become nervous when separated.
Both donkeys were playful and full of personality, surprising everyone with their strong emotional connection to humans. They were often compared to horses for their gentle nature.
Many people wonder why Macy chose to adopt donkeys. There are several reasons for her decision.
Contrary to popular belief, donkeys aren’t stubborn; they’re incredibly smart. When they refuse to do something, it’s usually due to their protective instincts.
Besides that, Macy rescues and adopts them because they need to be loved and are perfect for snuggles.
Macy clearly takes excellent care of her animals on the ranch. But of all the animals, I just hope that Frankie and Petal will remain together forever, no matter where life takes them.
