Woman Rescues Baby Lamb And Ends Up Having The Weirdest Roommate

A woman named Erin has taken social media by storm after introducing her newest roommate: a baby lamb her father rescued from the countryside.

In a heartwarming video shared on Instagram under the username @yungdaenerys, Erin is seen bottle-feeding and caring for the lamb as she drives him to her city apartment. As she explains in her video:

“Back home my dad’s a farmer, and while checking the mob he found this little guy abandoned at just a day old. Without his mom’s milk, his chances were slim, but every three hours, even through the night, I fed him.”

“We were both exhausted, it felt like a glimpse into becoming a mom. Against all odds, Dusty got stronger, but he needed constant care. Lambs can’t go straight from milk to pasture, they need to be weaned. But I also had to get back home for work, so it was time for a road trip.”

Erin also shares how Dusty enjoys spending time with her friends, especially when they come dressed in woolen jumpers. He loves his goat milk ‘lattes’ and enjoys walks in the park.

Many people often mistake him for a calf or a goat, I guess that’s what happens when you take your lamb into the city, lol!

Dusty is currently battling an infection, but Erin is grateful for the phenomenal vets who have helped him every step of the way.

“I’m weaning him from milk to pasture – he’s currently drinking goat milk (in the absence of mother’s milk) and eating oaten hay, chaff, etc. As soon as he’s able to eat independently, he’ll be going back to the open fields to live out his days as a pet, which is a typical outcome for poddies!”

Erin’s story highlights the importance of understanding the needs of farm animals before adopting them as pets.

According to the ASPCA, it’s essential to have the knowledge, time, money, facilities, and commitment required to care for these animals properly.

Erin’s video has gone viral on social media, getting over 3 million views and 379,000 likes on Instagram. The heartwarming tale has touched many, with comments pouring in from viewers.

One user, @theroguepoppy, joked: “But I’ve said repeatedly, you tell the city folk it’s a rare poodle no one will knowwwww.”

Another, @evstachip89, added:

“I feel like this needs to be an animated movie, someone tag Pixar lol.”

And @foodstuffthings commented: “Saving this video for inspo, for when I have to explain to my partner how I ‘accidentally’ found a lamb that now has to live in our apartment.”

Hahaha, all jokes aside, thanks to Erin and her dad, this precious little baby lamb was saved and is on his way to a better life! Share their inspiring story and brighten your friends’ day.
