Woman Finds A Helpless Carpenter Bee On Her Walk And What Happened Next Will Amaze You

Today’s story is probably one of my favorite rescue tales I’ve ever encountered. It’s about a kind-hearted woman and a carpenter bee named simply Mr. Bee, so get ready to hear all about it.

One day, Jamie took her adorable dog for a walk when all of a sudden, her dog started pulling the leash toward a sidewalk.

Jamie followed and was soon met with the most adorable little bee. The poor thing was crawling around on the sidewalk, unable to fly away.

She stood there for a moment, not knowing what to do. Jamie soon realized if she left the bee there, he would probably not make it.

She scooped him up and brought him home where she was ready to nurse him back to life. At first, Jamie was afraid he might sting her, but after some research, she learned that male carpenter bees don’t even have a stinger!

Jamie served him with some sugar water and adorably named him Mr.Bee. As she said in a video:

“I just called him Mr. Bee. I didn’t want to name him and get attached.”

But little did Jamie know that Mr. Bee was about to stay with her for a total of 5 days! Jamie would carry him around her house, while he peacefully rested on her hand.

She even placed him on her face one day, and that’s how this incredible shot was taken!

Although sugar water restored his energy levels a bit, Jamie realized for him to get better, he needed some pollen. As she shared:

“I took him for a little walk, and he got pollen naturally. From there he started becoming more lively. He would start crawling everywhere. And then I just realized he just really wanted to sleep on my hands.”

Jamie even made him a cozy enclosure with a bunch of fresh flowers and sugar water, where he rested whenever Jamie was not around.

After an amazing five days together, Mr. Bee completely recovered. One night he started flying around Jamie’s living room and she knew it was time to release him.

The next day she brought him out to the garden and while Jamie tried to pick a flower for him, Mr. Bee took matters into his own little bee hands.

He flew off ready to continue his adventure! Jamie was happy and a bit sad at the same time, but she deeply appreciated the time she spent with him. As she mentioned:

“Overall, it’s like changed me. I see bees and insects so differently now. Bees remember faces so I hope one day he will come and say hi.”

Isn’t this one of the sweetest rescue stories ever? Next time you see a helpless bee just remember Jamie and her amazing story!
