This Sheep Escapes A Grim Fate By Running Away From A Farm In North Carolina

Rose, the sheep in today’s story, had a pretty rough start in life. Born and raised on a meat processing farm, her fate looked grim.

In this overcrowded farm, sheep had little to no space to move. They were all closed up in big, crowded barns, and they never experienced the outside world.

One day, Rose decided to escape. How she managed to get out was uncertain, but soon, she found herself wandering the streets of a small town in North Carolina.

Usually, when farm sheep escape they are recaptured in no time. However, luck smiled upon sweet Rose when a kind-hearted man spotted her on the street.

He brought her to his home, but soon realized he could not properly care for Rose. He reached out to Farm Sanctuary, a safe haven for farm animals who suffered a similar fate to Rose.

They were more than happy to welcome Rose to their sanctuary in Los Angeles, and this is how her new life began. As Brooke Marshall, the manager of the farm, said:

“At first, she was terrified, skittish, and unsure of her new life. But in such a short time, she has been able to relax and get comfortable.”

For the first time in her life, Rose experienced freedom. She enjoyed basking around in the sun, running all over the farm, and peacefully chewing cud while she watched the sunset.

Considering she was never truly cared for, she was afraid of humans at first. But her caregiver never gave up on her. They showered her with love and attention, and Rose soon figured out that her new life was quite awesome.

I’m so happy Rose was brave enough to run away from the grim fate that awaited her on that farm.

Thanks to the kind people around her, she can now lead a peaceful and happy life!
