5 Fearless Predators That Can Take Down Wolves

Can you imagine someone so brave to face a wolf? Believe it or not, even this mighty creature has enemies.

Animals have one simple rule: either you’ll have lunch, or you will become one. It’s not that the wolf is anyone’s first choice of meal, but it seems to keep getting into trouble –  either by invading others’ space or sharing the same food interests.

Without further ado, here are 5 fearless predators that won’t hesitate to take the wolf down.

1. Grizzly Bear

Even the strong wolf can get intimidated by a giant that weighs over 600 pounds.

Being that heavy means eating anything that comes one’s way, and even stealing from others. The skimpy Grizzly won’t hesitate to sneak around in an attempt to get to the wolf’s food.

Although it wouldn’t usually aim for the wolf, if the food-sharing goes wrong, someone has to go down. The wolf might be faster, but the bear’s strength helps it get a big meal all to itself.

2. Polar Bear

What’s with all these bears having a beef with wolves?

It’s not nice commenting on someone’s weight, but this guy leaves me no other choice. The Polar bear can reach around 1,500 to 1,700 pounds, which makes it a powerful enemy.

Hunger can make you do the craziest stuff, and due to poor food sources, this fearless hunter might reach out for the Arctic wolf.

Mighty and strong, the Polar bear doesn’t have trouble taking down even multiple wolves at once. Must be tough on the wolves’ pride!

3. Black Bear

With its keen sense of smell, the Black Bear won’t miss an opportunity for a feast. Although it keeps up with the trend of being a vegetarian, an occasional slice of meat won’t hurt it.

Most of the time, wolves aren’t the first on their grocery list. But if the Black Bear feels the need to defend its young, even the mightiest wolves won’t manage to escape.

It’s really that simple: keep your distance, and you won’t become a meal.

4. Siberian Tiger

Roaming through Eastern Russia, these ‘cats’ have no fear of taking anyone down.

Their menu is diverse: from deer, birds, lynx, to a very special dish – the wolf.

Although it wouldn’t be its first pick, a conflict over other food can lead the tiger eating anyone in its way, including a wolf.

5. Cougar

The cougar and the wolf seem to cross paths often, which is no wonder since they have similar taste in food.

The problem starts when their shared passion provokes tricky situations and fights. Being sneaky as it is, the cougar won’t waste its time. It will simply eliminate the wolf and enjoy all the snacks for itself.

Just like in “The Hunger Games”, the winner’s the one with the odds in its favor.
