Oklahoma Officer Saves A Donkey From A Busy Highway And Gives Him A Ride In His Patrol Car

People were stunned by the recent events in Norman, Oklahoma. It all began when a woman named Robin Strader spotted something unusual in the middle of the busy highway.

As she approached, she was shocked to discover a frightened donkey wandering alone. Realizing the danger for both the donkey and drivers, Robin quickly pulled over and embarked on a rescue mission.

Determined to help, Robin contacted the Norman Police Department, and Officer Kyle Canaan quickly arrived at the scene. The two somehow managed to get the donkey off the road, however, the biggest challenge was to figure out how to get him to safety.

Officer Finds A Solution For Transportation

Robin named the donkey Squishy and offered to foster him. Sadly, she had no transportation, and waiting for a proper vehicle would have taken too long. That was when Officer Canaan came up with a perfect idea.

Squishy In The Backseat Of A Police Car

With no other options, Officer Canaan decided to give Squishy a lift in his patrol car, and to everyone’s surprise, the donkey didn’t mind a bit! The Norman Police Department later posted on Facebook:

“It’s not every day that you see a donkey in the backseat of a police car!”

Except For The Smell, The Ride Was Good

Officer Canaan shared a humorous detail about the ride:

“It used the bathroom in the back of my police car. I mean, I must have got it right after breakfast, because there was a lot.”

Squishy Finds Safety At Last

Squishy finally arrived safely at Robin’s home, ready for a fresh start. This was an amazing journey, especially for Officer Canaan, who even expressed an interest in adopting Squishy if no one else comes forward.
