7 Innocent-Looking Animals That Can Attack Without A Warning

7 Innocent-Looking Animals That Can Attack Without A Warning

What do you do when you see a fluffy big-eyed creature? Approach it and pet it, right?

I wouldn’t recommend doing this, as many of these harmless-looking animals can cause serious damage.

If you get easily charmed by their cute looks, take a look at this list and learn who might be preparing an attack. Some of these might surprise you.

1. Tasmanian Devil

At first sight these don’t seem intimidating. Their brown fur reminds us of baby bears, and they are the size of small dogs. Quite a cute combo, right?

But this creature hides a secret – it has one of the most powerful bites of all mammals.

The Tasmanian Devil is the world’s largest carnivorous marsupial.

When faced with danger, this animal makes terrifying sounds and loses its temper, being a potential harm to anyone around.

2. Swan

Is there anything more elegant than the swan? Swimming gracefully, minding its business and enjoying life.

That’s not far from the truth, but this beauty is not so harmless.

Swans often become aggressive, especially during breeding season. They attack by biting or chasing to protect their mate and nest.

Plus, these guys are surprisingly fast when running on land. Don’t ask me how I know…

3. Kangaroo

We’ve all heard about kangaroos fighting like boxers, but I don’t think we know how serious this statement is.

Even though cute and cuddly in appearance, kangaroos can be a real danger to humans.

These are powerful creatures, and if they kick with their feet they might seriously injure you.

Not all kangaroos are usually aggressive, but if something seems like a threat they won’t hesitate to attack.

4. Slow Loris

Look at those cute eyes! Wouldn’t you just want to cuddle this thing?

You better not. This creature is dangerous as it is the world’s only venomous primate.

This tiny guy can be found in rainforests and rarely comes down from the trees.

Usually gentle, but when in danger, the Slow Loris activates its venom. This venom causes pain and swelling, and can be tragic for small mammals but also humans.

Not that cute, after all…

5. Leopard Seal

Look at this guy laughing its worries away. Cute, right?

But would it be so cute if I told you that this is actually the top predator in its environment?

Not only that, it is also the second largest species of seal in Antarctica.

The Leopard seal is very defensive about its territory and has a fierce temper.

Hardly anyone is brave enough to approach this creature, as it would try to bite you or chase you down.

Their massive jaws and sharp teeth wouldn’t let intruders get away so easily.

6. Koala

Just another cuddly creature, isn’t it?

This fuzzy one lives in Australia, where it spends its days sleeping or eating. Many tourists visit just to see koalas.

Most of the time koalas aren’t a danger to humans, but if stressed, they can become real monsters. They attack with their sharp claws and teeth.

The only time you should approach a koala is if it’s in danger or in need of help. Otherwise, keep your distance.

7. Polar Bear

These fluffy bears are one of the most adorable mammals in the world.

Regardless of their cuteness, they are still animals whose main instinct is to eat and protect themselves.

They don’t fear humans, therefore it’s not such a good idea to get close. These cuties are really fast and could get you in danger easily. You might not believe it, but polar bears are among the most dangerous mammals in the world.
