When Kari moved into her new house, she had no idea she’d get some company for free.
She kept finding peculiar animal tracks all over her property but couldn’t figure out who they belonged to. But Kari was left in awe when her future friend finally decided to make his first appearance.
Kari’s resident turned out to be a friendly porcupine named Alfred with a huge passion for snacking. As soon as Kari saw him naturally approaching her house, she knew he was there to stay.
He was so comfortable, as though he owned the place. Kari became curious about her new friend, but Alfred initially kept his distance. However, he visited her every single day.
As days passed by both Kari and Alfred seemed to have adjusted to each other. But one day, Kari noticed something was wrong.
Alfred came by with a leg injury. It turned out he had a limp in one of his paws. Moved by the sight, Kari couldn’t remain calm.
She immediately reached out to the local wildlife hotline for help. Unfortunately, due to a porcupine virus that was going around the local wildlife shelters, the team couldn’t take Alfred in.
However, they encouraged Kari to help him herself and nurture Alfred back to health. The team advised Kari to monitor Alfred’s condition and feed him as much fresh fruit as possible, as it would help him regain strength.
Kari didn’t waste time in reacting. She immediately began providing Alfred with a variety of citrus fruits and apples, which he loves the most.
With a lot of love, Kari prepared delicious snacks for Alfred every day, and he never missed visiting her. Gradually, Alfred regained his strength, and his injured leg completely healed, bringing immense joy to Kari.
Now, Alfred can climb trees normally and do what he loves the most. Still, I’m sure he’ll never stop visiting Kari.
Kari continues to prepare snacks for her unexpected friend, and I’m certain their bond will only continue to blossom.
