A tiny Yorkshire Terrier named Spike is the newest hero in town! Even though he’s small, his heart is huge, and he’s got a bite to match.
Spike, a faithful ten-year-old dog, showed his bravery when he faced off against a dangerous cobra, all to keep his owner, Louise Grobler, safe.
Louise, a mother of four, was having a relaxing day in her backyard when suddenly, Spike sprang into action.
It turned out that a sneaky cobra had decided to sunbathe in Louise’s yard. Without any hesitation, Spike attacked the venomous snake.
The fight was intense, but Spike ended up winning. The brave terrier successfully got rid of the cobra, saving Louise from a potential bite and a lot of drama. His owner shared:
“I was so close to the snake, I think if Spike didn’t jump up and grab it by its neck, it could have bitten me as well.”
However, here’s the catch – Spike may have won the battle, but the snake managed to land a few sneaky strikes.
Sadly, Spike, along with Louise’s other dog named Prinses was also bitten during the scuffle and tragically succumbed to the cobra’s venom within a few hours.
Spike’s story may have had a sad ending, but even though he’s no longer with us, his acts of heroism will forever be remembered by his loved ones and anyone who hears his story.
So, the next time you meet a dog, be sure to show your appreciation by giving them a gentle pat (after getting permission from their owner, of course) and a heartfelt “thank you” for all that they do.
