Heroic German Shepherd Rescues His Owner From A Stroke And Gets Rewarded For Her Bravery

Sharing is caring!

Brian Myers, a 59-year-old man living in New Jersey, was having a peaceful day at home when everything changed suddenly.

On January 16, he experienced a stroke and fell to the floor of his bedroom. All alone and unable to move or call for help, Brian found himself in a frightening situation, worried about what might happen next.

But then, something amazing occurred. Sadie, his cherished German Shepherd, was close by. She had been adopted from a shelter just a few months prior and had quickly become a big part of Brian’s life.

When Sadie sensed that Brian was in trouble, she jumped off the bed and lay down beside him, licking his face to wake him up.

Even though Brian was confused, he understood that Sadie was trying to assist him. Thanks to her determination, Sadie helped pull Brian down the steps, allowing him to crawl to his cousin’s room for help.

And she even stayed right by his side the whole time, wagging her tail as she tried to bring him back to consciousness.

Luckily, Brian was quickly taken to the hospital, where he received the care he needed. Because of Sadie’s quick actions and loyalty, Brian survived the stroke and fully recovered.

Her bravery played a crucial role in saving his life. Not only was she there for him when he needed it most, but she also used her smarts and strength to help him.

Brian’s recovery has inspired many people, and the community has come together to support him and raise funds for him and Sadie.

Sadie, the true hero, also received a Heroic Dog Award from PETA, which was a fitting tribute to her courage and loyalty.

To Brian, Sadie isn’t just a pet; she’s his closest buddy, his guardian, and a crucial part of his life. Their connection is strong, built on moments they’ve shared and their constant support for each other.

Before long, Brian got out of the rehabilitation center and couldn’t wait to hang out with Sadie again. He feels really thankful for all the help he’s gotten from everyone around him.

As for Sadie, she’s just thrilled to be back with her favorite person. She doesn’t realize she’s a hero, but Brian understands that she played a big part in saving his life.
