Cats can display remarkably strong maternal instincts, even if they’ve never had kittens of their own. This might sound unusual, but this friendly feline perfectly exemplifies it.
The stray cat, later named Annie, made an extraordinary choice one day: she followed a woman named Charli all the way home, leading to a series of heartwarming events.
Charli is a devoted cat lover who has been rescuing cats and kittens for years. Besides that, she takes care of stray cats whenever she can.
One day, after feeding the stray cats, Charli sat in her car and headed home when all of a sudden this ginger beauty began chasing her car. That unfolded a series of surprising events. Charlie shared in a video:
“When I first met Annie, she was one of the friendliest strays I think I’ve ever found. So, we decided to bring her home with us to give her the care she needs.”
What shocked Charli the most was that no stray had ever followed or chased her car before. It was as though Annie chose her to be her human.

Sensing they might be hungry, Annie would gently bring them to Charli for bottle-feeding.
Annie thoroughly enjoyed her role as a mother, which helped her blossom from a stray into a beloved pet raising someone else’s kittens. Nothing pleased her more than being with her adopted babies. Charli added:
“She just doesn’t want to leave them now, even when I put them in the garden for a five-minute run around on the grass to get some sun and stuff. She just sits by them.”
