Who needs an alarm system next to these bad boys? There’s no messing around when it comes to protecting the house.
But that’s just the bare minimum. Not only do these breeds help with everyday obstacles, they also save lives. And no, these dogs don’t have any supernatural powers like flying or teleportation.
Everything our brave companions do, they do it out of love and loyalty. Honestly, what did we do to deserve them?
Let’s take a look at the superdogs on this list.
1. Great Dane
Imagine walking by a yard with a Great Dane in it. I’m sure you would feel intimidated by a strong giant scanning your every step.
But this dog hides a secret: the bad boy reputation is just a mask.
Seems like it has a split personality: one is cuddly and affectionate, but the other… The other would do anything to protect its human family.
I wouldn’t want to be the intruder who found himself in Dane’s way.
2. Bullmastiff
Let’s be totally honest here, this dog looks like it would chase you down the second it sees you. That’s probably not far from the truth, but only if you give it a good reason.
The Bullmastiffs’ nature is very protective, scaring anyone who comes near. But here’s the thing, when the danger is over, it becomes a cuddly bear who can’t resist sharing love.
This dogs’ intelligence makes it a great candidate for being a guide dog for the visually impaired.
3. Doberman Pinscher
Good luck trying to escape, I warned you! The Doberman makes no jokes when it comes to speed, but neither about keeping its home safe.
On top of that, the intellect and trainability of this breed make it a great choice for working in law enforcement.
But when the shift ends, the Doberman will enjoy spending its evenings cuddled up with the family.
4. Saint Bernard
This giant is so much more than a cuddly furball! Saint Bernand is a real life superhero whose powers help locate and rescue people in the snow. Superman can’t beat that!
But heroes need love, too. So does this guy, laying all of its 100+ pounds into your lap. Prepare yourself for some bear hugs with a touch of drool.
5. Belgian Malinois
Not many can keep up with this speedy. Owning a Belgian Malinois is signing up for endless action, loyalty and the occasional chaos.
This dog’s intelligence and energy are its superpower, making no obstacle too difficult. Thriving on having a special role, the Malinois often participates in police and military operations, successfully helping others.
6. Rough Collie
Before we get to the heroism of this dog, let’s take a minute to appreciate its appearance. The beautiful long fur, the mesmerizing browns and whites, and the unique facial features. Now we can move on.
This brave breed is known for doing incredible things. From protecting its human family, being a service dog, to search and rescue missions. The Rough Collie does it all.
I’m sure it isn’t easy living up to its heroic reputation.
7. Rottweiler
The Rottweilers’ build and attitude really make it the Hulk of the dogs. Its confidence and powerful bark scare away even the bravest ones.
However, by this point I think we’ve learned not to be fooled by all of this. You’ve guessed it right, this tough guy is as cuddly and loving as any other.
But let’s go back to what we’re here for – the Rottweilers’ heroism. This breed makes excellent service and rescue dogs, but also keeps the family safe.
8. German Shepherd
Did you really think a gathering like this could go by without the German Shepherd? The dog who saves the entire cast in every movie?
But here’s the deal, this isn’t just a movie hero, it’s a real life superdog!
You name it, the German Shepherd is on it – search and rescue, police and military operations, guiding, guarding, herding, and so much more. Truly the hero of all heroes!
I think these doggos deserve a medal for bravery. Oh, and a red cape too, just to add to the superhero vibe!
