Elle Green recently opened the doors of her non-profit wildlife rescue organization. This amazing animal lover rescues raccoons, possums, otters, and many other wild animals in need.

She rehabilitates these sweet animals and makes sure they are returned to their natural habitat. However, recently she received a devastating call about a baby otter in need.

The poor soul found himself in desperate need of a foster home, as his mom and siblings crossed the rainbow bridge after a vicious dog attack.

This meant Elle needed to teach the little one how to survive in the wild one day. Naming him Ozzie, she brought him home ready to shower him with love.

Elle made sure to bottle feed him every few hours, with some special puree fish added to the formula.

In nature, baby otters usually float around on their moms slowly learning to maneuver around in the river.

Since it was now Elle’s task to teach him how to swim, she had to slowly introduce him to water. She filled her tub just enough for little Ozzie to splash around!

Ozzie slowly started gaining weight, exposing his chubby tummy for some belly rubs any chance he got. Even in their natural habitat, otters are very cuddly creatures.

They spend the majority of their time with their partners, holding hands while peacefully floating around the river.

Since little Ozzie had no family of his own, Elle bought him an adorable otter plushie. Ozzie enjoyed playing around with his toy otter, just look how adorable he is!

Beside his plushie, Ozzie enjoyed his toy slide! Elle would place him on top, and Ozzie would slide down. He would slide for almost half of the day until he finally wore out and fell asleep in the grass.

Since he was slowly growing up, it was time for some serious swim lessons. Elle filled up a small swimming pool just for him, where he could practice swimming and splashing around!

Elle did an amazing job in fostering little Ozzie and the sweet boy will soon be ready to be released back into nature.
