Moo Deng, a baby pigmy hippo recently born in a small local zoo, overtook the internet just hours after she was born.
Now you might be wondering what’s so special about Moo Deng. Well, she’s just stinkin’ cute!
With her chubby appearance and rosy cheeks, Moo Deng inspired songs, ads, and thousands of memes all over the world.
Her name translates to ‘Bouncy Pig’ and it fits her perfectly. Most of the day, Moo Deng jumps around her mom while the zoo staff makes sure she has everything she needs!
This adorable pigmy hippo even inspired a Sephora make up ad with the caption ‘Wear your Blush Like A Baby Hippo’.
Since her birth visitors to this zoo doubled, with people waiting in line just to see Moo Deng.
However, zoo staff are concerned because some people love her just a bit too much. One of the zookeepers had to remove Moo Deng from her outside enclosure because people were throwing stuff at Moo Deng to wake her up.
Luckily, Moo Deng was unharmed but the zoo staff had to make sure to prevent future outbursts like these.
Just like any other baby animal, Moo Deng enjoys playing, napping, and jumping around.
Her adorable appearance earned her worldwide fame, which most of us can only dream about. As the song written about her says:
