Kasper is a high school teacher and one day a group of his students came running towards him shouting for help.
At first, he was afraid that one of the kids got injured, but once he came close to them he realized it was something else entirely.
Luckily, the students were unharmed but they discovered someone who desperately needed help – a baby crow that most likely fell from its nest.
Unable to say no to his students, Kasper caved in and brought the baby crow home. He contacted a local wildlife rescue, which quickly explained to him how to properly care for the baby bird.
Over the next few weeks, Kasper and his entire family nursed the crow they named Klaus back to health.
The little bird was eating, sleeping, and soon learned how to spread his wings and fly. Kasper thought their journey had come to an end, and that Klaus would now fly off to new adventures.
Little did he know that Klaus was about to stick around for a very long time…
Just the next day after Klaus flew away, Kasper was shocked when all of a sudden he appeared in their backyard.
He immediately rushed out to greet him and it seemed like Klaus missed him! He perched on Kapser’s shoulder gently nipping his ear with his beak.
From that day on, the kind-hearted teacher and Klaus the crow shared a morning routine together.
Every morning before work, Kasper would go out to have a coffee in his backyard while Klaus jumped around on the table.
However, Klaus wanted to be part of Kasper’s morning routine and even started ‘drinking’ coffee with him. Don’t worry though–Kasper made him a special decaf cup that was perfectly safe.
It seemed like Klaus just wanted to share everything with his rescuer, and whatever Kasper was doing, Klaus wanted to be part of it.
Once Kasper would leave for work, Klaus would fly away. But once Kasper pulled over in the driveway, Klaus would fly in to welcome him.
It was almost like he was waiting in the trees for his forever human to come back home! On sunny days, Kasper would take out a plastic bowl filled with water where the crow happily splashed for hours.
Afterward, he would even let Kasper dry him off with a hair dryer! Just amazing, am I right?
The most adorable thing about the two is the fact that Klaus enjoyed sleeping close to Kasper. He would perch on his hand or shoulder and just doze off!
This meant that the little bird trusted Kasper and considered him as one of his own! I hope this story and unique friendship warmed your heart up big time.
