Anxious pets often dislike being left alone, just like this sweet dog, Joule – until one day, everything changed.
Although Joule’s human mom, Brenna Eckert, didn’t like leaving her home alone, sometimes she had no choice. However, what’s most interesting is that Joule was never truly alone. Her orange feline friend, Kelvin, was always by her side.
But one day, when Brenna decided to check the security camera to see what Joule was doing, she was left speechless by Kelvin’s heart-melting gesture.
When Brenna Eckert first adopted Joule, the poor dog suffered from severe anxiety. Thankfully, with a lot of time, patience, and the help of a dog behaviorist, Joule made a huge improvement.
Things began to change even more when Brenna adopted an orange cat named Kelvin. As soon as he arrived at his new home, he instantly bonded with Joule, and the two became inseparable.
Still, Brenna preferred keeping an eye on Joule, so she installed a home camera.
Brenna knew from the start that Joule and Kelvin were good friends, but it turned out she had been missing something truly special. One day, she reviewed the security camera footage and made a heartwarming discovery.
As Joule’s anxiety set in, Kelvin made a heart-melting move, leaving everyone speechless.
He snuggled up next to Joule, offering her warmth and reassurance, making sure she knew she wasn’t alone. Brenna shared her excitement in an interview:
“I moved the camera to get a closer view of the couch and was amazed to see that they weren’t just sharing the couch, but they were snuggling up against each other.”
Brenna was especially amazed by this touching moment because she had never witnessed this bond in person, only when they were home alone. She added:
“This happens literally every weekday for the full 8 hours we’re gone. They only snuggle with each other like this when we are not around. If we are home, Joule wants to be with us, so she basically ignores the cat.”
Thanks to their incredible bond, this loving duo became popular on social media, winning hearts all over the internet.
Joule and Kelvin are living proof that cats and dogs can be true friends. But, even though they think they’re hiding their bond, their mom, Brenna, outsmarted them and showed the whole world what true love looks like.
