Tom, an 8-year-old brown horse, recently won over the internet and the reason for that is quite comical.
His owner posted a video about Tom and his ‘performance’, that left people in stitches. By now you’re probably wondering what could be so funny about a horse. Well, let’s start from the beginning.
Tom lives on a farm together with many other animals. His owner has had him ever since he was little.
He trained Tom to become a perfect riding horse and for many years, farm visitors were enjoying sunset rides together with Tom.
However, just before his 8 birthday, Tom was about to retire. Well, that’s what he decided at least…
One day a visitor was about to go horse riding with his wife and Tom was one of the horses assigned for this sunset ride.
However, Tom had other plans. Once the man sat on top of him ready to ride off into the sunset, Tom fell to the ground.
His owner rushed across the field, scared for his beloved Tom. They immediately canceled the ride and the man called their vet office asking for someone to come over right away.
The emergency vet was there in less than an hour, but couldn’t find anything wrong with Tom. To exclude any severe injury he asked his owner to bring him over so they could do some x-rays.
The x-ray revealed that Tom was in perfect health, so the vet told his owner it was perfectly fine to ride Tom.
Relieved his beloved horse was alright, they returned to the farm. The man decided to take Tom for a ride, but Tom fell to the ground once again!
This is when his owner realized, Tom was nothing more but an actor. He decided his career was over!
His owner was relieved it was nothing serious and he let Tom retire! Since then every time someone tried ridding him, Tom would fall on the ground, stick his tongue out, and act as if he was unconscious.
