Security Camera Footage Shows Family’s Close Call With A Wild Animal In Their Driveway

Sharing is caring!

Living in small towns surrounded by nature and forests is something truly beautiful. Being able to go on a hike right behind your house is something not everyone can experience.

On the other hand, this also means that you share the space with the wildlife and you have to learn how to coexist with it. That’s exactly what happened to Kristin Lee and her family.

On what seemed to be an ordinary Sunday in Simsbury, Connecticut, Kristin was enjoying the brisk morning summer air together with her family.

While the parents were sitting and drinking their morning coffee, their kids were playing with the ball and enjoying their time.

However, little did they know this serene morning was about to turn upside down.

As seen in the video captured by their security camera, while the family was sitting, a huge wild animal appeared from behind.

The wild animal in question is common in Connecticut, with more and more people reporting sightings even in populated areas. A black bear slowly approached the family from behind, probably searching for food.

The first one to spot the black bear was their son, who immediately ran inside the house while alarming his parents about what was right behind them.

His parents jumped and grabbed their youngest kid and ran as fast as they could. In the meantime, the black bear seemed unbothered by all the hectic around him.

He crossed their driveway and made his way back into the forest. Luckily, the family was unharmed in this encounter.

They quickly uploaded the video from their security camera, to raise awareness and to always be on the lookout when living close to bear populated areas.
