Who says pool parties are only for people? Well, here you have these colorful little hummingbirds that have proved to you that even the tiniest animals can have a fun time splashing around in the water.
A recent video from Wild Wings, a backyard nature store specializing in fountains and bird feeders, captured an amazing scene of 30 hummingbirds enjoying a bird bath together. And believe it or not, it’s truly breathtaking.
Each tiny bird has its own special personality as they zip around the bubbling water, creating a stunning show.
Some like to chill in one place, while others are super energetic, darting in and out of the water really fast.
What’s even cooler is that hummingbirds are usually known for being territorial and a bit aggressive. But in this moment, they seem to have put their differences aside and are happily sharing the space.
It’s a rare and beautiful moment that shows a softer side of these often feisty birds. However, they’re still really delicate, weighing less than a penny!
They have super fast metabolisms, which means they need to eat 5-8 times every hour to keep their energy up. Even though they’re small, they are incredibly nimble, able to hover in the air and even fly backward!
Also, the bird bath for hummingbirds shown in the video is made just for these little birds. It has a shallow area where they can take a nice bath and a spot to sit and relax.
