4-Week-Old Puppies Face Grim Fate After Being Cruelly Dumped On A Stormy Night

Sharing is caring!

Despite the availability of many animal shelters where people can leave their animals when they can no longer care for them, it’s sad that many still choose a crueler way.

Just like that, these 4-week-old puppies had to face a grim fate when their family abandoned them in a box on the worst night of their lives.

One stormy night, a kind-hearted person from Holland County, Michigan stumbled upon a cardboard box. Hearing unusual sounds, he approached the box and was left speechless.

Inside the box, he discovered a group of tiny puppies shivering in the cold, curled up against each other. They had no mother to protect them or feed them, they just had each other to keep warm.

Moved by the sight, the man immediately called the police for help, and fortunately, they wasted no time in reacting.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department’s Deputy rescued the puppies and safely transported them to the Harbor Humane Society

The shelter staff couldn’t believe someone could do such a cruel thing. Heartbroken, they shared on their Facebook page, stating:

“It breaks our hearts that things happened this way… We never want to see an animal abandoned and truly will never turn away a person or pet in a real emergency, even when we are bursting at the seams.”

Upon arriving at the shelter, all the puppies received a thorough vet examination, but sadly, two of them were in critical condition. Despite this, the dedicated staff provided them with special care.

One of the staff members took the two critically ill puppies home, while the rest were placed in foster homes to recover from the trauma they had endured.

Thanks to the kind-hearted man who found the puppies, they received a new chance at life and instantly began to improve.

Once past the critical period, all the puppies were ready for adoption. They took part at Howliday Puppy Pawty, an annual adoption event at Harbor Humane Society, where they all found their happily ever after.

The puppies named Zeus, Oso, Ammann, Zane, Bronte, Eric, and Nyx found loving families where they will have the best lives possible.

The shelter members were overjoyed for the puppies and extremely grateful to the man who found them. If it weren’t for his intervention, they might not have survived. Now, they are thriving, just as they deserve.
