German Shepherd Found With His Mouth Cruelly Zip-Tied Abandoned In Malibu Creek Canyon

A recent discovery shocked Malibu residents, showing just how far humans’ cruelty can go.

According to In Defense of Animals, two compassionate hikers found a distressed German Shepherd wandering in Malibu Creek Canyon.

Upon closer inspection, the hikers were horrified to see that the dog had its mouth cruelly zip-tied shut, with another zip tie around his neck.

Thankfully, the hikers wasted no time in reacting. They quickly removed the zip tie from the dog’s mouth and called 911 for further assistance.

When the police and animal control officers arrived at the scene, they removed the remaining zip tie from the dog’s neck and transported him to safety.

After ensuring he was in good health, the officials transported the dog to Agoura Animal Care Center in Los Angeles, where he continued to receive the necessary care.

What warmed everyone’s heart was how affectionate the dog was despite being abused and abandoned by his previous owner.

The rescuers affectionately named him Argon, hoping he will soon get a new chance at life.

While Argon is recovering from the trauma he had endured, the police and animal organizations are working to find the individual responsible for such cruelty.

Fleur Daws, the communications director of In Defense of Animals, shared in an interview:

“We are grateful for the quick actions of these hikers and law enforcement, but our efforts must continue. This dog was left to suffer and die in a remote location. We urge anyone with information about this cruel act to come forward. We are determined to find the person responsible for this horrific abuse and hold them accountable since they are a danger to others.”

Additionally, In Defense of Animals is offering a $2,500 reward for information about the individual responsible for the cruel abuse of a German Shepherd.

At the same time, another organization called Peace 4 Animals added $5,100 to the reward fund.

Hopefully, the organizations will find the person they’re looking for but, right now, the most important thing is that Argon is safe, happily waiting for his new chapter in life.
